I did go to community group last night, thanks to the tiny angel sitting on my shoulder. Ironically, we studied Mark 14:1-11--the woman who bursts into Jesus's dinner party and anoints him with her super-expensive perfume--which is all about worship for the sake of worship, and about beautiful, impractical acts that are between us and God and nobody else. Perhaps the girl who almost stayed home and did her taxes needed to hear this? We also had an engagement in the group, so there was 1/12 of a bottle of champagne for each of us. (We party like rock stars, this crowd.) I'm glad I went. I pretty much always am. And, aserries reminded me might happen, I did find some time to work on my taxes. Almost done--just one more piece of information to track down--and I think I'm getting a refund for the first time ever! If so, it'll mostly go into savings, but it's still a relief.
So, Kal Penn, huh? I think he should move onto my bus line, and he can be the new Bus Boy (which would TOTALLY show the old Bus Boy what's up, YEAH!). I'm just saying. (Also, this is totally why I need business cards. Heh.)
And, my friends, I'd just like to tell you all how much better life is when you're around. New friend or old, RL or LJ-only, you guys are nothing but amazing--thank you for the joy and entertainment and commiseration and cheerleading and geekery and advice that could only come from you. I am so, so pleased to know each and every one of you. Please give yourself a hug and know that it's from me, okay? (DO IT. DO IT NOW.)
