I want to go to there

It was FANTASTIC. I went here:
These people have 25 acres right--and I do mean RIGHT--on the York River, and a big farmhouse and a tiny guest cottage and a pool and some kayaks and a teeny tiny private beach and a whole network of trails crisscrossing their land (and an abandoned Purina dog food factory with possible dead bodies and/or ghosts, but that's another story), and they said, "Nice to meet you! Please do whatever you want."
I did. I hiked around a bit with my hosts and played with their almost-three-year-old grand-niece, and I watched the sun set and played with their very nice telescope (with cheater accoutrements--you can program it to look for things!), and in between, I wrote. It was hard--I'm still on groundwork, when I so don't want to be, but I know I need to get it done--but I got Acts I, II, and V plotted, so I'm telling myself three out of five ain't bad. Acts III and IV will come, right? (Ugh, please tell me Acts III and IV will come.) I got so much more done than I would have here, though. And they've invited me back anytime, to which I wanted to say, "Are you sure about that?" They may discover one day that I have slowly moved my entire apartment into their guest cottage.
The only downside to this arrangement: Who has two thumbs and left her Macbook power adapter in the cottage? This girl! And so, who has two thumbs and will be pilgrimaging to the Bethesda Apple store tomorrow (because, illogically, there isn't one in DC)? I think you know the rest.
And now, as my battery power dies, I'm off to grab a shower and reassure my poor lonely beleaguered kitty that I will never leave him again (...except next weekend, when I go to New York and he goes on vacation to his foster mom's. Whoops!). Good night, flist.
