I did not mean for this to be so long

It is possible that I have given up even the pretense of being productive today. My boss is in Florida with her new husband and stepkids (whom she clearly wants to shuttle off to boarding school ASAP, which is weird), and my boss-who-isn't-really-my-boss is...somewhere else. Not in the office. And I'm reading this YA book (reviewing it for the anthology), and the protagonist/narrator is this obnoxiously precocious high schooler, and I kind of want to kick her in the face. Even if she is already having personal issues over being adopted. (A Brief Chapter in My Impossible Life, by Dana Reinhardt, for anybody who's dying to know.)

Soooo, you should watch Chuck tonight. All of you. Watch it for the geeky spy goings-on! Watch it for the humor! Watch it because YOU NEVER KNOW, Chuck and Sarah might make out at any time! Watch it because Zach Levi is a total cutie, and because Yvonne Strahovski is both hot and underappreciated in her awesomeness, and because Adam Baldwin shows up every single week, which I believe is reason enough for many people. Watch it because both Scott Bakula AND Chevy Chase guest-star tonight, which is totally fun, right? Watch it because it's improved so much this year. Watch it because NBC hasn't renewed it yet, and I've already lost Pushing Daisies this season, and I will cry and cry and cry if I lose two happy-deep-down-in-my-heart shows in less than six months. Watch it because GMMR asks you nicely and also lumps it in with Friday Night Lights (I KNOW, RIGHT?). If nothing else, watch it because several of its competitors are reruns tonight. For heaven's sake, watch it because it will stop me from making future PSAs.

Well, that wasn't supposed to take the rest of my day, but here we are.
